Who we are

Firewire System Solutions (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us") is the responsible party for the personal information collected through this website, in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Unit 1, The Avenues, 7th Avenue, Retreat, Cape Town 7945 · info@firewiresystems.co.za

What we collect, and why

  • Enquiry and quote forms — your name, company, email, phone, site address and the detail of your request. We use these only to respond to you and prepare a quote.
  • Orders — your name, contact details and delivery address, to fulfil and invoice the order. Card details are handled entirely by PayFast and never reach our servers.
  • Technical data — IP address and submission timestamp, retained for security and to detect automated abuse.
  • Analytics — if enabled, aggregate usage statistics that do not identify you personally.

Lawful basis

We process your information on the basis of your consent (given when you submit a form), and where necessary to conclude or perform a contract with you. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the operators needed to provide the service: our email provider, our hosting provider, and PayFast for payment processing. Each is bound to process it only on our instruction.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quote requests are retained for three years so we can service a repeat request. Order and payment records are retained for five years, as required by South African tax law.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Write to info@firewiresystems.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Cookies

We set one essential cookie to keep your session and shopping cart working. It is not used for tracking and cannot be disabled without breaking the store. Analytics cookies are set only if analytics is enabled.

Template notice. This document is a working draft prepared for the build. It must be reviewed and adopted by the client (and, for the POPIA policy, checked against their actual data-handling practice) before go-live.
